The transition to motherhood is a big one.

The transition to motherhood is a big one.

Suddenly you put someone else’s entire life and all their needs before your own. It’s not even a conscious decision, it’s inbuilt, being a mother is a calling.

Doing something that is just for you, feels like a guilty pleasure, so you don’t do it often, or you only do it when you can justify it, by saying it will make you be a better mother.

Slowly, over the years, you lose your sense of who you are, your identity is now, a mother, you talk about your kids, you look for ways to enhance their lives and you totally lose touch with the woman within.

You and your needs get pushed further down the list until those things you used to enjoy, walks in nature, weekends away, love making, reading, and more, become ‘self-care’ boxes you tick once every blue moon.

Your health and well-being have a condition on them, “When everything is done and everyone else is taken care of, I’ll have time for myself.” (If only I knew who that was.) – you say.

Could you make time for 10 minutes a day, to look after yourself?

What about an hour a fortnight?

Yes, it will improve your parenting, relationships, and work.

But what it will really do, is increase your self-love, self-worth, and life satisfaction. It will help you get clarity on who you are and what you really want out of life.

July is a great month to get started. Many people spend more time at home as nurturing becomes part of the season.

Health and Well-being has many aspects, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual, just a few minutes on each one, each day, will start to get you real results.

If life is meant to be fun, and love is meant to win, and pleasure is meant to be felt by all, what can you do today, to live your life this way?
