Head to Heart Health

Feel calm, clear and in control again.

About

Hi, I’m Lucy.

I’m a health and wellness coach, a single mum, and someone who’s always been fascinated by why we do what we do.

I work with women who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted and disconnected from themselves, helping them understand the patterns that keep them stuck so they can create lasting change in their health and wellbeing

How I got here

Like many women, I spent years believing it was my job to hold everything together.

As a child and teenager, I felt responsible for looking after other people, keeping the peace and protecting those around me.

As I got older, I thought being strong meant pushing my emotions aside, staying in control and keeping people at arm’s length.

I thought health meant punishing myself at the gym to make up for the weekend, that skinny was healthy, and that eating as little as possible was something to be proud of. For a while there, I thought cigarettes and coffee made a perfectly good breakfast.

At 33, I bought my first home. I was a single mum, working full-time and doing everything I thought I was supposed to do.

From the outside, life looked great.

Inside, I cried almost every day.

I couldn’t understand why I felt so unhappy when I was doing everything “right.” So I did what many women do. I focused even harder on food and exercise, hoping that fixing my body would somehow fix how I felt.

Eventually I realised health and wellbeing were about so much more than food and exercise.

I needed to understand what was happening beneath the surface.

That led me to study, seek support and become fascinated by the connection between our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships and physical health.

The more I learned, the more I realised that we often treat each part of ourselves as though it exists in isolation.

But it doesn’t.

Everything is connected.

That curiosity became the foundation of Head to Heart Health.

Today, I help women understand the patterns, beliefs and invisible rules that have shaped the way they think, feel and live, because lasting change doesn’t come from fixing yourself.

It comes from understanding yourself.

What I believe

I believe we all live by invisible rules we’ve learned through family, relationships, culture and life experiences. Many of those rules keep us small, disconnected and living a life that no longer feels like our own.

I believe lasting change comes from understanding yourself, not judging yourself.

I believe we always have a choice, and every choice we make shapes the direction of our lives.

I believe your body is always communicating with you, but somewhere along the way many of us stop listening. Reconnecting with that inner wisdom can be one of the most powerful steps towards better health and wellbeing.

I believe women don’t need another to-do list. They need permission to care for themselves without guilt.

I believe health and wellbeing are built through the simple things we do consistently, not the perfect things we do occasionally.

How I work

I don’t have a magic wand or a little pill that will change your life overnight.

What I do have is experience, compassion, empathy and a genuine curiosity about people and why we do what we do.

Most women already know they should eat better, move more, get more sleep or make time for themselves. The problem isn’t usually a lack of information.

The problem is that we all live by invisible rules we’ve learned through our families, relationships, culture and life experiences. Over time those rules shape our habits, our decisions and eventually our identity.

Together we’ll explore those patterns with curiosity, not judgement.

We’ll look at what’s driving your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and why you keep finding yourself in the same situations or making the same choices, even when you desperately want things to be different.

Because when you understand yourself, everything starts to make more sense.

The goal isn’t to become someone else.

It’s to reconnect with who you really are, so you can make choices that support your health, your relationships and the life you want to create.

A little more about me

I’m an introvert by nature, so I’m perfectly happy spending time on my own with a good book. But I also love sunshine, and summer will always be my favourite season.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me in the garden, looking after my flowers, vegetable patch and fruit trees.

Looking after my own health is important to me too. Walking, yoga, reformer Pilates, weight training and plenty of stretching help me feel strong, while meditation, journalling and dancing around the house keep me grounded (and remind me not to take life too seriously!).

I’m naturally curious and love learning. I’m currently studying Behavioural Science, because I’m fascinated by why we think, feel and behave the way we do.

At home, it’s just me, my son and our dog. We enjoy home-cooked meals, game nights and creating a home that feels calm, connected and full of laughter (yes, even with a teenager).

Qualifications and Experience

For more than 20 years I’ve worked with people of all ages, supporting health, wellbeing, learning and personal growth.

My qualifications include health coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), clinical hypnosis, Reiki and other complementary healing modalities. I’m also currently completing a Bachelor of Social Sciences, majoring in Behaviour, to deepen my understanding of why we think, feel and behave the way we do.

I’ve had the privilege of speaking at local and national conferences and expos on topics including stress, happiness, resilience, healthy habits and wellbeing.

Most importantly, I bring lived experience, compassion and a genuine commitment to helping women create meaningful and lasting change.
